Praise Night 2014 and other issues

It's funny how things play out.

I never really had a good life myself. Not so much suffering from physical pain. This is childish I know. But you, oh you, HAVE YOU had unfufillment issues? No? I didn't think so. Like, I'm extreme unfufillment. It's a mental leech.

So here we are. I am broken.

Praise nights are nice for this sort of thing. I get to praise God, right? It's always great to hear a sermon and praise freely.

But I'm scared. My thoughts are vile, violent, corrupt. I hate them and they always interrupt every single day of my life.

Still I'm glad I got to see other believers. New people are always a treat. But shouldn't I hang out with people then?

Ha, well I suppose I can't.

I've been told recently by big bro that I'm defined by my own choices. Which is true, except, I love fun too much. I DON'T believe I have that sort of power given to me, to overcome fun.

I have too issues simply because I'm stubborn.

Frozen Review

My first review!

Frozen? Proud of that movie. Before that, though:

SOME SPOILERS ABOUND!

Frozen is the movie of all movies. Why? You may ask. Well simply because it has a good plot, music, and characters.

Plot is awesome. In the (Norwegian?) kingdom of Arendelle, there were two princess sisters, Elsa and Anna. Elsa, the older one, has cryokinesis (ability to control ice and snow). One day, Elsa and Anna play and then Anna gets hit in the face by Elsa. Anna is healed by trolls but all her memories of her older sister's powers are erased, and the king vows to hide Elsa and her powers so that she hurts no one again, especially Anna (this was well-intentioned, no really). Years later their parents die and Elsa is set to become queen. Anna finds true love in Hans and after the coronation, asks for Elsa's blessing. The sisters bicker and Elsa's powers are revealed. The Snow Queen is forced to flee and accidentally causes a winter. Anna, come on go get her. However, things will get complicated.  Is there a secret usurper in the kingdom? Is a mountain man the love of Anna rather than Hans? How will the story end? One thing's for sure, and it's love.

Now characters. My favorite character is Anna. She is simply the true embodiment of true love, which I strive to be. Throughout the movie, she constantly goes after her sister and reassures everyone twice that Elsa did not mean to unleash her powers. She's naive, but very cute. I mean, her messy appearance when she wakes up, her voice (thank you Kristen Bell), her dorky mannerisms (favorite of mine is "Thanks! That was like a crazy trust exercise"), and most of all, her love for her sister Elsa. Next to Tangled, this has the best heroic sacrifice of all of movie history.

Elsa, our resident Snow Queen, I feel sad for. She shut herself away from Anna to protect the lil youngin from the snow powers the Snow Girl has. Anna can't remember this due to Trolls pulling some amnesia trick to cure the dainty, hyperactive girl. :( She runs away, finds out she nearly killed Arendelle, is nearly killed twice, arrested, and finds Anna dead in front of her eyes moments after the younger sister's sacrifice. DAMN. On another note, Elsa is hot. Enough discussion, just look at her. I mean, seriously.

Kristoff is awesome. He owns a reindeer, Sven, who's just adorable. He's hilarious, and masks his feelings for Anna. I mean, come on... he's better than Hans. That guy, now he was a jerk (you'll have to see the movie).

There are more characters, but let's move on to music. All songs are good. I recommend you guys try singing all of them. "Love is an Open Door" is not really sweet, but also a good foreshadowing device. Pay attention. "Let It Go" is an empowerment song with a flair of repression (thanks Idina Menzel), yay! Of course, don't even mention, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" SO CUTE!

Go watch this or I'll wring the life out of you. ;)

Higher Calling, Moving

Hey guys, it's me again. Damn, is really hard to keep a blog.

So just to update you guys on a few things. One is that I moved to a new house. While the moving experience, I enjoy the final product. I should being strength train so I'm not a hinderance.

During this moving period I went to Higher Calling in San Diego. A lot of it was focused on missions. I feel that I want to go on missions but I'm not sure how to apply it. One lesson from it resonates from it strongly: I got to slow down and find time to the Bible, because God, the savior, beckons me too. No really, he keeps telling me to calm down and just trust Him. Music was good, thank you Undignified. :) Paul soonjang and Daniel were awesome leaders. I hope to apply more God in my life, thanks Man Above.
